When to get help
Everyone experiences occasional gastrointestinal upset which can often be caused by change in diet, routine or lifestyle
It is advised that medical review is required if the following symptoms are experienced, especially if new or persistent
Abdominal Pain
Abdominal Distension
Persistent Bloating or fullness
Nausea or Vomiting
Loss of appetite
Continued unexplained weight loss
Indigestion developing for the first time in mid or later life
Pain or Difficulty with swallowing
New onset Jaundice (yellow discoloration of eyes or skin)
Persistent diarrhoea, constipation or change in bowel habit
Bleeding or pain when you pass stool
Feeling that your bowels are emptying incompletely
Generally feeling tired, lethargic or unwell associated with any abdominal symptoms
